Special event Advance Reservations

Departments may submit reservation requests for special events for the 2026-2027 Academic Year beginning at 8am on Monday, April 13.   

Requests for space must fall between August 10, 2026 through May 9, 2027.  

Space in the Barnhardt Student Activities Center (SAC) requests will be approved after the athletic season has been confirmed by the conference.  

• Volleyball season runs from late-August through mid-November, the season is typically confirmed in July.
• Basketball season runs from early November through mid-March, the schedule is typically confirmed by August.
• Post-season tournaments run from mid-March through early-April.  Dates are typically announced in January.  Requests that fall during post-season tournament play cannot be confirmed until the tournament dates have been set and UNC Charlotte's participation has been determined. 

The football schedule has been announced, though times have not be finalized.  There is the possibility that games may be changed to a weekday of that same week.  (https://charlotte49ers.com/sports/football/schedule).

Recurring meetings and Academic Space requests

• Fall requests are accepted on August 1 or the first business day after.
• Spring requests are accepted on November 1 or the first business day after.
