Special event Advance Reservations
To better support academic conferences and special events, University Groups may now request space up to two academic years (August–May) in advance through the Advance Reservations process.
Advance Reservations requests will be accepted on Monday, April 13 for the following academic term(s) for annual and special one-time events.
University Groups may request space up to two academic terms in advance for special events that are expected to reach a large audience and/or bring regional/national/international guests.
Sponsored Non-University Organization events may also be requested during this time.

Not all facilities are subject to this timeframe and facility use will be prioritized by the type of
activity for which the space was designed.
Athletic contest calendars are not confirmed until shortly before the season. Football
games impact campus access and parking. Events in Halton Arena impact the SAC Salons.
Space in the Barnhardt Student Activities Center (SAC) requests will be approved after the athletic season has been confirmed by the conference.
- Volleyball season runs from late-August through mid-November, the season is typically confirmed in June.
- Basketball season runs from early November through mid-March, the schedule is typically confirmed by July.
- Post-season tournaments run from mid-March through early-April. Dates are typically announced in January. Requests that fall during post-season tournament play cannot be confirmed until the tournament dates have been set and UNC Charlotte's participation has been determined.
The football schedule has been announced (https://charlotte49ers.com/sports/football/schedule) however, there is a chance that a Saturday game may be changed to Thursday or Friday of that week. Times have not been announced.
